Nagpur: April month, which normally witnesses consistent rise in daytime temperature and falling humidity, is witnessing uniquely abnormal weather activities this year. Thanks to climate change, this year’s April month has turned out to be the coldest and wettest in the last many decades.

According to the climatic features of Nagpur, thunderstorms are most common in the afternoon or evening, when the western disturbances pass north India, because they draw moist air from the sea to inland. On rare instances, these summer thunderstorms are also followed by strong winds, squalls, and hail.
