Nagpur RMC Issues Alerts as Heavy Rainfall Expected in Vidarbha on Monday and Tuesday

Nagpur: The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in Nagpur has forecasted heavy to very heavy rainfall in isolated areas of Vidarbha on Monday and Tuesday. The forecast attributes this to a cyclonic circulation over Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Odisha, which has merged with another system over the west-central Bay of Bengal. Consequently, an orange alert has been issued for Amravati, Wardha, and Yavatmal, with heavy to very heavy rainfall expected on Monday.

A yellow alert has been announced for Akola, Buldhana, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, and Washim, anticipating heavy rainfall on Monday. Additionally, a yellow alert is in place for Amravati, Washim, and Yavatmal on Tuesday, predicting heavy rainfall. The forecast for Monday includes heavy to very heavy rainfall in isolated areas of Amravati, Wardha, and Yavatmal (orange alert), and heavy rainfall in Akola, Buldhana, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, and Washim (yellow alert). Nagpur is expected to have a generally cloudy sky with a few spells of rain or thundershowers.
