Nagpur shivers at 13.2°C, second coldest city in Vidarbha after Gondia

Nagpur: Mercury has been falling in the Second Capital of the State since last week.


Gondia and Nagpur are currently coldest Vidarbha region. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of rains Vidarbha this week.

This changing climate is likely to intensify the cold wave. Nagpur’s temperature has been steadily declining this week. In the last hours, the minimum tem perature dropped by 1.2 degrees Celsius to 13.2 degrees Celsius.

The effects of the cold were felt on Tuesday night.
Wednesday was a chilly day. Gondia recorded a low of 12.6 degrees Celsius, the lowest in Vidarbha.
Nagpur was followed by Wardha at 13.8 degrees Celsius, Washim at 14.0 degrees Celsius, Amravati 14.1 degrees Celsius, Akola at 14.8 degrees Celsius,
Buldhana and Chandrapur at 15.0 degrees Celsius and Gadchiroli at 15.8 degrees Celsius.
