Nagpur Smart City develops 3 New Digital E-libraries for students

Nagpur. Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Limited (NSCDCL) has developed 3 new Digital E-Libraries for the benefit of the students. These new modern, digital E-Libraries will be transforming the new ways for the students seeking knowledge from all over the world.

Nagpur Smart City CEO Mrs Saumya Sharma Chandak has informed that these Digital E-Libraries are at Pt Deendayal Upadhyay Digital E-Library, Laxmi Nagar, Late Kundanlal Gupta Digital E-Library, Immamwada and RAshtramata Kasturba Digital E-Library, Gandhi Square, Sadar. Under this ambitious project Nagpur Smart City has supplied, installed & commissioned ICT based components & providing 3 years of operation and maintenance for 3 existing Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) Libraries.

The following components have been installed in 3 NMC Libraries. These libraries will be having 90 computers (30 in each Library) with internet connection and facilities of Barcode, Printer and Barcode scanner. The multifunction Xerox Machine also provided in these libraries. The libraries will be under surveillance of CCTVs, each library has 7 CCTVs. The E-library software is having 450 digital book reading facilities for the registered users. The students and others will become a member from anywhere by using this digital library website. The members can access this library from their mobile or the PCs available there. They can easily find e-books, e-resources, reserve hard copies and more using the website, informed Dr Sheel Ghule, General Manager of E-Governance Department of Smart City.
