Nagpur’s Deekshabhoomi is witnessing a steady influx of followers arriving for the 69th Dhammachakra Pravartan Day celebrations. In anticipation of the large crowds, 2,000 police personnel have been deployed to ensure security. Additionally, drones and cameras will monitor every corner of the site to maintain surveillance.
With an even larger gathering of devotees expected at Deekshabhoomi, authorities have ramped up security measures, effectively turning the area into a fortress. Thousands of police officers have been stationed to manage the crowds, and strict watch is being kept at every intersection. Bomb detection squads and sniffer dogs have also been deployed to prevent any untoward incidents.
The event commemorates Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s historic conversion to Buddhism, and every year it draws devotees from across the country.
