Nagpur – The city is set to endure humid weather conditions until May 26, as partial cloud cover and intense heat continue to cause discomfort for residents. On Monday, the high humidity made the hot weather particularly unbearable for everyone in the region.
Typically, May is the driest month of the year with relative humidity around 10-20%. However, this year, significant moisture in the upper atmosphere has pushed the relative humidity above 50% across Vidarbha.
On Monday, despite maximum temperatures staying below 40°C in Gadchiroli, Gondia, and Nagpur, the high humidity levels made the heat oppressive. Nagpur recorded a relative humidity of 60%, while Gadchiroli and Gondia registered 56% and 63%, respectively, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
