Nagpur: In a bid to alleviate the increasing passenger rush on the Nagpur-Pune and Nagpur-Secunderabad routes, the Nagpur Division of Central Railway has proposed the introduction of Vande Bharat trains. The division has sent proposals for a sleeper Vande Bharat train on the Nagpur-Pune route and a non-sleeper Vande Bharat train on the Nagpur-Secunderabad route.
The Nagpur-Pune route is notorious for its long waiting lists, despite the presence of trains like Garib Rath, Ajni-Pune Super Fast Express, and Nagpur Pune Express. To address this issue and provide a more comfortable travel experience, the railway division has proposed the introduction of Vande Bharat trains, which offer modern amenities and enhanced comfort.
According to Aman Mittal, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, “These trains will provide a superior travel experience for passengers, addressing the long-standing issue of inconvenience and long waiting lists on these routes.”
