Nagpur Traffic Police arrange parking spaces for India-England ODI on Feb 6

Nagpur: In view of India-England One Day International (ODI) to be played at Vidarbha Cricket Association’s Jamtha Stadium on Thursday, February 6, Nagpur Police have ramped up traffic management efforts. To ensure a smooth flow of traffic, The Traffic Police have issued a guideline for parking of vehicles at the designated spaces in the city.

· All vehicles should follow Nagpur Wardha Road route till Jamtha T-Point.

· 4 wheeler parking spaces are earmarked as parking B, D1 and D2 which are right in front of the stadium. Extra space is given in parking spaces E & F.

· 4 wheelers parked in B, D1, D2 should only use the designated exit route after the match ends.

· 2 wheeler parking space is earmarked as Parking C, which is next to the stadium. If that space gets filled up, extra space is provided in Parking F.

· Once the parking spaces B, C, D1, D2 are 75% full, all vehicles will be diverted from Jamtha T-Point towards Wardha Road to the next two parking spaces — Parkings E & F — which are around 1 km away from Jamtha T-Point. To & fro buses would be plied from E & F parking spaces till Jamtha T-Point.

· Spectators are advised to reach stadium at least 2 hours prior to start of match to avoid any delays due to last moment traffic.

· Spectators are advised to use metro services till Khapri Station (from where to & fro buses would be plied till stadium) to save time and any delays due to traffic.

· Traffic cops will be deployed through the whole route and in parking spaces and various signages are put up to guide vehicle owners in case of any difficulty.

· For the ease of spectators and smooth traffic movement, heavy vehicle traffic would be diverted from Nagpur Wardha Highway to Samruddhi Mahamarg.

· 5 towing vans will be operational throughout the route on the highway, in and around the stadium. Hence please don’t park any vehicles on the roads as they will be towed away.

Nagpur Traffic Police expect sincere & kind cooperation to ensure that match passes of peacefully and traffic movement to and from stadium is smooth for all the spectators, said the DCP (Traffic) Archit Chandak in a press release.
