Nagpur: Stating that the relief from vigorous monsoon showers and hailstorm is still not at sight, the Regional Meteorological Centre of India Meteorological Department on Monday issued caveat for Nagpur and nearby districts for next couple of days.
“Thunderstorm with lightning very likely at isolated places over Nagpur and Bhandara,” reads the RMC prediction.

“Light to moderate rainfall likely to continue at many places over Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Bhandara, Wardha and Nagpur, at few places over Amravati and Gondia, at isolated places over Yavatmal, Washim and Akola districts of Vidarbha,” it mentioned and further added that, “Possibility of intense spell of rainfall at few places over Bhandara and at isolated places over Nagpur.”
Nagpurians, on Monday, woke up to heavy to moderate rains. with water logged roads, students and officer goers found it different to commute. The brief spell of rain has again exposed precautionary measures taken by Nagpur Administration ahead of Monsoon.
