Nagpur: While the youth went in groups to places like Futala, Traffic Park and other places, the older ones especially men visited restaurants and hotels in big numbers to enjoy some moments of catching up with information on their lives. They seldom get time to visit old class mates or friends except in marriages etc.
The youth were seen enjoying the company of their friends. The groups included boys and girls who are not romantically involved but are just friends.
However, Nagpur Today did not witness any hooliganism that one often sees on special occasions like Valentine Day or Independence or Republic Day.

Rains play spoil sport
A sudden shower in some parts of the city played spoil sport in the youth celebrating the Friendship Day. However, since the rains lasted for a brief spell, the celebrations continued.
Many were seen gearing up for the various events organized at various Hotels in the city. Since reputed DJs and others are being invited, the youth are excited to visit these hotels and getting passes for the event.
