Nagpur: The 8th foundation day of Smart City Mission was celebrated across the country with great fervour. On this occasion, some infrastructure development programmes were undertaken on behalf of Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Limited (NSSCDCL).
Under this, the citizens were informed about various projects of Smart City. They were also informed about the ongoing projects in the city under the Smart City project. On this occasion, the citizens present expressed their hope that Nagpur will soon complete its journey as a smart city.

Ajay Gulhane, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), NSSCDCL, and his officers briefed citizens about various initiatives planned for citizens. The citizens inspected the large building called ‘Home Sweet Home’, which is under construction for the project affected persons in East Nagpur at the Area Based Development site. Ex-Corporators Deepak Wadibhasme, Vaishali Rohankar were present.
Citizens inspected the mobile surveillance van of Nagpur Police for their safety. They also visited Atal Behari Vajpayee City Operation Centre. Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Neha Jha, Company Secretary Bhanupriya Thakur, Head of Mobility Department Rajesh Dufare, Head of Information and Technology Department Dr Sheel Ghule, Chief Planner Rahul Pandey, Public Relations Officer Manish Soni, Head of Environment Department Dr Pranita Umredkar, Moin Hasan, Shrikant Ahirkar, Anoop Lahori, Kunal Gajbhiye, Apoorva Fadnavis were also present on the occasion.
