Nagpur: The Day-3 of Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav saw Nagpurians swaying to the masterful and beautiful tunes of National Award-winning composer Amit Trivedi as he performed some of his best hit songs at Ishwar Deshmukh College of Physical Education here on Sunday. The ground, as expected, was full to the brim. The lines were decked with people singing at the top of their lungs as some grooved and danced to the beats of Trivedi’s songs.
Trivedi began the performance with an invocation to Lord Shiva as he sang ‘Namo Namo’, from the movie ‘Kedarnath’. After an ode to the Lord, he took the audience on a journey of love and passion. Another segment of his performance celebrated the diversity of India through his many songs, co-ordinated dance steps, and costumes paying a tribute to the rich culture and heritage of India. The people danced a little ‘Garba’ and a little‘ Bhangra’. He also performed many soulful songs like ‘Ruthe Khwabon Ko Mana Lenge’ as well as peppy songs like ‘Naina Da Kya Kasoor’.
The National Award-winning composer, performing with his other fellow singers Arun Kamath, Yashita Sharma, Meghna Mishra, and Devender Pal Singh, delivered an electrifying performance. Arum Kamath’s ‘Ye fitoor mera’ was like a blanket on a cold winter night; from elegant evocative songs like ‘Ek Kudi Jida Naam’ sung by Devender Pal Singh to romantic songs like ‘Pashmina’, Sunday evening was a roller-coaster ride of feelings.
