Nagpurians urged to call CP on 7385982212 directly to report any crime

Nagpur: With Nagpur Police launching a crackdown on anti-social elements to prevent crimes in the Second Capital, Commissioner of Police Dr Ravinder Singal has appealed to the citizens to contact him on his cell number 7385982212 directly if they come across any criminal activity.

The citizens can also contact the Joint Commissioner of Police on cell number 7387392212, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) cell number 7385042212 or Deputy Commissioner of Police (Detection) cell number7385082212 and provide information. The names of the informers will be kept confidential.

Given the spurt in the street and violent crimes, the City Police Chief is keen to directly seek information from the ground level. Apart from establishing public contact, senior officials will also be able to get confidential information directly from the citizens. This will help in shaping the fight against the anti-social elements and restore confidence among the people.

Top Cop visits ‘Bharosa Cell’ in city:

Commissioner of Police Ravinder Singal visited ‘Bharosa cell,’ a family dispute redressal unit at Subhash Nagar, and took a review of the unique project to evaluate the success of its staff and also to find areas of improvement. Singal personally met some of the complainants and discussed their problems. He also discussed several issues with the counsellors at the ‘Bharosa Cell.’

The City Police Chief also reviewed the work of ‘Damini Pathak’ (all-women squad to control eve-teasing at the public places), community policing and senior citizens’ helpline project. Singal gave necessary instructions to the officers concerned to make ‘Bharosa Cell’ more effective for the citizens.
