Nagpurians urged to participate in ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign with zeal

Nagpur: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) Commissioner Dr. Abhijit Chaudhary has urged everyone to participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign with enthusiasm. He was speaking at the inauguration of a multimedia photo exhibition organized at Sitabuldi Metro Station. The exhibition showcases the contributions of freedom fighters during the independence movement, as well as information about the partition of the country.

This year, from August 9 to 15, 2024, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is being conducted on a large scale across the country. A three-day multimedia photo exhibition has been organized at Sitabuldi Metro Station, Nagpur, jointly by the Central Bureau of Communication, Regional Office, Nagpur, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, along with Nagpur Municipal Corporation and Maha Metro, Nagpur. The exhibition was inaugurated on August 13 by cutting the ribbon by NMC Commissioner Dr. Abhijit Chaudhary.

Maha Metro’s General Manager Sudhakar Urade was present as a special guest on the occasion. He mentioned that national holidays should be celebrated like major festivals, as they are celebrated in villages. NMC’s Education Officer Sadhana Saiyyam, Deputy Director of the Press Information Bureau Shashin Rai, and Regional Publicity Officer of the Central Bureau of Communication Saurabh Khekade were also present.


The inauguration program was introduced by Saurabh Khekade, and the event was conducted by NMC’s Public Relations Officer Manish Soni. The dignitaries were welcomed with bouquets and mementos. At the end of the program, the national anthem was sung, and the attendees took the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ pledge. The vote of thanks was given by Shashin Rai.

The exhibition, based on themes like ‘Har Ghar Tiranga,’ Independence Day, the Pain of Partition, and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, is providing viewers with inspiring information through rare photographs. The exhibition will be open to all students and citizens free of charge on August 13th, 14th, and 15th, 2024.
