Nagpur: Two current national-level basketball players of Shivaji Nagar Gymkhana of Nagpur achieved glory in the CBSE board exams too, the results of which were out on Monday.
Riddhi Amol Borkar, a student of BVM Civil Lines, who represented Maharashtra this year in Under-17 School Nationals held at Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh and finished at fourth place, got 97% in 10th CBSE exams.
Gunjan Nikhil Mantri, a student of Centre Point School, Katol Road, is currently participating in 74th Junior National Basketball Championship at Indore and will be playing for third place on Tuesday. She also represented Maharashtra in Khelo India Youth Games held at Coimbatore and finished third. She secured a gold medal in Under-19 School Nationals held at Mumbai all while studying in 12th. Gunjan secured 92% in CBSE 12th examination. Both the players practice regularly at Shivaji Nagar Gymkhana courts.
Nandini Chandak of Dharampeth Krida Mandal scored 77.8% in the CBSE 10th board. Nandini played in the U-17 School National Basketball Championship during her crucial academic year and excelled in both studies and sports. She is a student of Bhavan’s BVM, Trimurti Nagar.
