Nagpur’s Ishika selected for Maharashtra women’s rugby team

Nagpur: Ishika Motghare of Nagpur has become the first player from the city to be selected for the Maharashtra Senior Women’s Rugby Championship 2024. The tournament is underway at Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex , Balewadi, Pune.

The Rugby Association of Maharashtra announced the Maharashtra Senior Women’s Team after the conclusion of conditioning camp. After eight years of tireless hard work, a Rugby Association of Nagpur’s player found a place in the State team for the nationals.

Ishika’s dedication and perseverance has led to this remarkable achievement, which will inspire future generations to take up rugby sport, informs a press release from Rugby Association of Nagpur. This success will surely boost the confidence of all other rugby players of the city and will help the association in promoting and developing rugby in Nagpur district, adds the release.

All the members of Rugby Association of Nagpur congratulated Ishika Motghare and district coaches Amar Bhandarwar, Sunil Chaudhary and Nehal Dange.
