Nagpur: Heavy rains on Saturday resulted in waterlogging across various parts of the city, causing significant inconvenience to residents. The city’s roads turned into rivers, exacerbating the already challenging conditions in the central Sitabuldi market area, where a hydraulic parking system is in place. Despite this facility, citizens face numerous difficulties due to encroachments and deteriorating road conditions.
Street Vendors’ Encroachment:
The installation of the hydraulic parking system initially affected local shopkeepers. Now, despite this parking facility, street vendors have encroached on the roads, leaving no space for vehicles and two-wheelers to pass. Pedestrians also face unnecessary hardships due to the poor condition of the roads.
Potholes and Muddy Roads Due to Heavy Rainfall:
The presence of street vendors has narrowed the roads in Sitabuldi, affecting all types of vehicle drivers and customers. Continuous rains in Nagpur have further worsened the condition of the roads, making them filled with potholes and mud, adding to the woes of the residents.
