Nagpur: Though its not officially confirmed but the news is out now! BJP’s city women wing head Nanda Jichkar is going to become the next Mayor of Nagpur Municipal Corporation. She contested from prabhag – 37 where the city Congress chief Vikas Thakre was reduced to embarrassing defeat. She defeated Pragya Pannase of Congress in the same prabhag.
Nanda Jichkar is considered close to RSS and enjoys acceptability from both the BJP camps – one that of CM Devendra Fadnavis and another of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
Sources said that her name could be officially announced anytime soon.
