Nagpur News: Students of Narayana Vidyalayam won Dadasaheb Karnewar Memorial Inter-School U-9 Cricket Tournament. The inter-school tournament was jointly organised by Vidarbha Gymkhana and Nahatakar Sports Institute at Old Subedar Layout ground recently.
The Under-19 team of Narayana Vidyalayam had scored 100 runs in 19 over. The final match was so thrilling that both the teams gave tough fight to each other.
The students of the Narayana Vidyalayam, who won individual prizes are Anuj Kakade – best captain; Akhilesh Dongre – man of the match, man of the series, best batsman and best all rounder; Ved Katiyar – best upcoming cricketer. Ronit Agrawal and Jay Saini won consolation prizes.
The students attributed the credit of their success to PTI Manoj Yadav; principal, Mala Chembath and their parents.
