Nagpur: A young motorcyclist escaped with minor injuries when he met with an accident on the newly constructed cement road in front of Loksatta-Nagpur Today office on Great Nag Road on Saturday noon. In fact, the unidentified motorcyclist was to blame himself as he was riding on the wrong side of the road. The road from Baidyanath Square to Ashok Square is one way as construction of other side of the cement road is underway. The rider of CD Delux motorcycle (MH-49/Z 1095) most probably was dodging the oncoming vehicles and could have dashed against the divider. The motorcyclist had a narrow escape as a speeding passenger bus applied the brakes in force and stopped the vehicle. However, the motorcyclist lost balance and fell on the other side of the road. The Traffic Department has installed ‘No Entry’ Board at the beginning of the road at Baidyanath Square that has been completed but many vehicle drivers haphazardly enter the road to proceed to Ashok Square wrongfully and thus risk their lives like the motorcyclist.
