National Level RGI- Technical/ Research Paper Competition 2014 for Students of Mechanical Engineering on Feb 7 and 8

The Department of Mechanical Engineering of G. H. Raisoni Academy of Engineering & Technology, Nagpur is organizing a National Level Technical / Research Paper Competition for Students in the area of Mechanical Engineering (RGI-TRPCS 2014) on February 7 & 8, 2014.

This National Level Competition aims to impart and share knowledge of research & development work in the area of mechanical engineering. This competition will provide national level platform for curious, creative minds of students and also for young researchers to exhibit their innovations in domain of Mechanical Engineering. This National level Competition has been categorized into two category i. e. for students from Raisoni Group of Institution and also from other engineering institute/ colleges. There will be two categories for the competition which will be conducted at three different levels as follows;

Level 1: Students from 2nd and 3rd Year Engineering, Level 2: Students from Final Year Engineering, Level 3: Students of PG and Doctoral Research of Mechanical Engineering. Cash Prizes of Rs. 5000, Rs. 3000 & Rs 1500 for 1st, 2nd & 3rd position for each level will be given to students from Raisoni Group as well as other that Raisoni Group separately. Two Consolation prizes of Rs. 750 will be given at each level and category.

Delegates from engineering colleges/ institutes of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Chhattisgarh have already contributed and are going to participate in this conference.

Director of G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering Dr. Preeti R. Bajaj said that already around 200 students from 3 states have already registered for this competition. The management expects at least 500 more students to participate in this competition. According to her, unlike many other colleges, At Raisoni, every student is encouraged to do research and work on the presentation part too for efficient results. She claimed that they already have 35 patents for various research projects that were done by the students under her own and other professor guides of her college.

The broad areas and potential topics to be addressed in this paper presentation competition include Group I Thermal Engineering, Group II Design and Analysis, Group III Manufacturing Engineering, Group IV Industrial Engineering.

The Registration fee for RGI students free and non-RGI Rs 200 per participant. Fees can be paid in cash or DD drawn in favour of GH Raisoni Academy of Engineering and Technology, Nagpur, Payable at Nagpur.

The National level competition will be inaugurated on February 7, 2014 at 10am by Member of Management Council, RTMNU, Nagpur Dr. D. K. Agarwal. The

Chief Patron for this event is Chairman of RGI, Sunil Raisoni and Patrons to this event are MD, RGI Shobha Raisoni and Executive Director-RGI Dr. K. K. Dhote.

The Executive Director RGI Dr. K. K. Dhote, Director of G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering Dr. Preeti R. Bajaj, Principal G H Raisoni Academy of Engineering & Technology & Convener Dr. S. R. Vaishnav, Head of the Department for Mechanical Engg. & Co-Convener Prof. Pranav G. Charkha were prominently present for press meet held at Shradha House on February 1, 2014.

Prof. Tejpal Parshiwanikar is the Co-Convener and organizing committee members Prof. Siraj Sheikh, Prof. Prashant Awachat and PRO, RGI Mr. Amit Gandhare are taking efforts to coordinate this event.
