The National Lok Adalat will be organized by Legal Services Sub-Committee of the High Court in Nagpur on November 23 (Saturday) in accordance with directives of National Legal Services Authority and State Legal Services Authority.
The long-pending matters in the Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court will be taken up in the National Lok Adalat. The matters include family disputes, land acquisition, VIDC, road accidents under Motor Vehicles Act and Accident Claims Tribunal, matters under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, cases under Labour Compensation Act and the pending matters of Western Coalfields Limited.
The National Lok Adalat will try to settle cases with mutual consents of the disputing parties within the shortest period and notices to concerned parties and their lawyers have been sent in this connection. The Secretary of the Legal Services Sub-Committee of the High Court has appealed the concerned persons, who have received the notices, to be present in the National Lok Adalat at the High Court and avail the golden opportunity to settle their disputes speedily and amicably with mutual consents.
