Navbharat Group Chairman Vinod Maheshwari passes away

Nagpur: Vinod Ramgopal Maheshwari, a media baron and Chairman of Navbharat Group, passed away in Mumbai on Monday, August 12, morning. He was suffering from dengue and was shifted to Mumbai for treatment where he breathed his last.

Maheshwari had been unwell for the past five days and was airlifted to Mumbai on Saturday. He succumbed to his illness on Monday morning, according to a family source.

In his condolence message, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said, “I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Vinod Maheshwari Ji, the Chairman of the Navbharat Group. I offer my heartfelt tributes to him. Through Navbharat, he always raised the voice of the people in Central India and consistently prioritized the values of journalism. I have had a personal bond with him for many decades. With his passing, I have lost a close friend. May God grant peace to the departed soul and give strength to the bereaved family.”
