Nagpur: Authorities at Central Railway, Nagpur Division have introduced a new exit gate at Ajni railway station, located near the escalator on platform no. 1 at the Nagpur end. The initiative aims to streamline passenger transit, particularly benefiting those arriving from Platforms 2 and 3, by providing easy access to the adjacent Metro Station and the road.
This decision reflects a collaborative effort between railway and metro officials, demonstrating their commitment to improving the travel experience for commuters. Passengers arriving at Platforms 2 and 3, situated on the north side of the station, will find this new exit gate particularly convenient. It will be operational upon the arrival of trains at the railway station.
To assist passengers efficiently, two dedicated ticket checking staff have been deployed at the gate. Additionally, parking facilities near the porch of Platform no. 1 have been adjusted to accommodate the increased passenger flow, with measures such as shifting parking areas and employing marshals to manage auto stands effectively.
Aman Mittal, Sr Divisional Commercial Manager, Nagpur Division, emphasized that this initiative aims to reduce inconvenience for passengers amidst the redevelopment work at Ajni station, which is expected to bring significant benefits to the citizens of Nagpur in the future.
The introduction of this new exit gate is poised to enhance the overall passenger experience, offering greater convenience and efficiency in transit between railway and metro services.
