Nagpur News: A New housing project under the Married Accommodation Project (MAP) was inaugurated at Vayusena Nagar on 03 May 2013.
In the recent, various efforts have been made to uplift the living standards of Armed Force personnel. In one such effort on 03 May 2013, 54 airmen houses constructed under Married Accommodation Project at Vayu Sena Nagar, Nagpur were inaugurated by Air Marshal Jagdish Chandra, AOC-in-C Maintenance Command and Mrs Sharmila Chandra President AFWWA(R). The inaugural function was attended by various senior officers of HQ MC, AOC of AF Stn Sonegaon, few airmen representatives along with their wives.

Under the Married Accommodation Project at Vayu Sena Nagar a total of 214 houses will be constructed catering the needs of the air warrior of HQ MC and AF Stn Sonegaon. Mrs Sharmila Chandra President AFWWA(R) graced the occasion by cutting the inaugural ribbon. Air Marshal and his wife congratulated the Project management staff and air warriors. The Air Marshal and the ladies have appreciated the better quality construction of the buildings.
