Nagpur: In Surat, traffic management is handled by an NGO. A team, led by the district collector, will visit the area to study the entire system, and subsequently, the model will be implemented in other cities, according to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
Speaking at a meeting of the accident prevention committee held in Nagpur to discuss reducing road accidents, Minister Gadkari addressed issues such as hit-and-run incidents and accidents caused by black spots.
The meeting, which took place at Ravibhavan, included senior officials, the police commissioner, the district collector, health department representatives, and NGOs working on traffic awareness in Nagpur.
