When did you last see a Bollywood film where a string of Corporate names didn’t figure in the titles? It is so confusing that you give up trying to figure out who is to be credited with what! And in all, originality and creativity take a beating.
For the first time after a long gap, we are going to have film that is distributed by a single producer – a person with a name, rather than a Company. And that film is Puli which is being distributed by Chinni, son of distinguished Producer Director Pehlaj Nihalani who is also a Censor Board President. He is distributing it under his company Vishal distributors.
Father Pahlaj Nihalani beside been the present Chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification of India was also the President of Association of Motion Pictures and TV Programs Producers for 29 years until 2009. He is known as the producer of the films such as Shola Aur Shabnam and Aankhen.

Puli is a fantasy adventure film, a story of good vs evil presented with never seen before visuals, romance and comedy. The film also features Vijay, Sudeep, Shruti Haasan and Hansika Motwani and is directed by Chimbu Deven.
Originally made in Tamil,Puli will also release in Hindi and Telugu. Produced by Shibu Thameens and PT Selvakumar, the film is all set to hit the theatres on October 1, 2015.
Tipped to be a big budget fantasy film laced with time-travel concept, reportedly, Vijay will be seen in dual roles, one of them of a warrior. Sridevi is essaying the role of a princess, while Hansika appears as her daughter.
About Chinni Nihalani: Son of renowned producer Pahlaj Nihalani, Chinni was indeed born with the filmy genes. However, Chinni did not rest assure on his genes and joined the Art School in San Francisco at 18 to hone his skills.
He returned back and joined Channel V and produced a few shows and later moved on to making short films.
Currently his experience entails 10 years of producing, directing, writing, editing, shooting/gaffing both in Bombay and New York on independent/ main stream films, commercials, music videos, television, documentaries, etc.
Chinni is the Creative Director/Editor at Promoshop a Creative Shop set up that designs Audio-Visual Campaigns for the entertainment industry both domestic and International Markets. Adgully caught up with him to know more about his passion, love and hunger for his work.
