Nitin Raut appointed Chairman of SC Department of AICC

Nagpur: In a significant move aimed at quelling dissidence in Nagpur unit of the party, the Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday appointed Nitin Raut, former Maharashtra Minister, as the Chairman of Scheduled Caste Department of All India Congress Committee in place of K Raju, press release issued by party General Secretary Janardan Dwivedi said.

The party expressed its appreciation for the hard work and contribution of K Raju who is stepping down from the responsibility as Chairman of SC Department.
