Nagpur: The work of fixing the leakage in the immersion tank being constructed at the Gandhisagar Lake has been concluded. The tank is being constructed to ensure that that immersion of idols does not pollute the pond during Ganesh Chaturthi, with an estimated cost of rupees 95 lakhs.
However, disclosing the seriousness involved in the construction and quality of work being, it was purported that the tank was leaking. As is being assured by NMC officials, the leakage has been fixed. They also informed that the devotees will not face any issues in immersion of idols. The claims will, however, be checked only after the water is refilled on 29th.
The authenticity of the claims remain sceptical as it has not been examined so far.
