Nagpur: Acting tough against defaulters of Property Tax, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) seized 124 plots in Lakadganj Zone that were seized to recover dues. The outstanding amount is of Rs 36.36 lakh and to recover the same the plots were seized.
The action was taken on Wednesday under the guidance of Assistant Commissioner of Lakadganj Zone Ganesh Rathod. Tax Superintendent Roshan Ahire, Tax Inspectors Suryakant Revatkar, Bhushan Motghare, Lalappa Khan, Pankaj Futane and Manish Taiwade carried out the seizure.

The plots are at Mouza Bharatwada, Khasra No. 28, 29, Mangalmurti Co-operative Housing Society. A total of 32 plots namely plot number 159 to 187, 189 to 191 with outstanding amount of Rs 20.22 lakh. Similarly action was also taken in Mouza Punapur at Khasra No 51, Dhanalakshmi Griha Nirman Sanstha Plot No 33,40, 49, 51, 48, 52, 56, 99, 134, 167,167/ A, 167/B, 163 (13 plots) with dues are Rs 1.34 lakh.
At Mouza Punapur at Khasra No 27/4 SVS Developers Plot No. 69, 81, 82, 14, 117, 141, 149 (7 plots) outstanding is Rs 47,085. At Mouza Punapur Khasra No. 76, 76/1 Dinbandhu Bhoomi Vikas Sanstha’s Plot No 32, 89, 115, 118, 135, 139 (six plots) for dues of Rs 75,051. In Mouza Punapur Khasra No 27/2 Indira Co-operative Housing Society Plot No 4/19, 25, 29, 35, 96, 105, 10 6, 112, 113, 151, 161, 163 (14 plots), outstanding amount is Rs 1.22 lakh.
At Mouza Punapur Khasra No 65 Priti Co-operative Society (1 plot) plot number 38 at and due amount is Rs 20,875, Khasra No 48 47/2 Samaj Sagar Co-op Housing Society Plot No. 47 outstanding is Rs 17,481, Khasra No 43, 44/2 Suvikas Gruha Nirman Plot No 7 Rs 20,555, Khasra No 25 Indira Co-operative Housing Society Plot No. 231 Rs 10,062, Khasra No 46, 47/2 Kirtighar Co-operative Society Plot No 129 for outstanding of 12,368.
Further in Mouza Punapur itself Khasra No. 50/2 Madhu Vatsalya Co-operative Housing Society plot No 89 outstanding is Rs 28,994; Mouza Punapur Khasra No. 50/2 Plot No. 2, 67, 80 at Dinbandhu Bhumi Vikas Sanstha (3 plots) outstanding amount is Rs 32,558. Also Plot No. 5, 21, 68, 72, 78, 80, 95, 113, 136, 140, 143+144+145, 153, 155, 156, 180 at Mouza Bhandewadi Khasra No. 101/3,4 ,184, 185,193, 194, 196, 205, 244 (22 plots) total dues are Rs 5.46 lakh.
Mouza Bhandewadi Khasra No. 68 Kirtighar Co-operative Plot No 1, 145, 150, 151, 184, 185 (6 plots) for an amount of Rs 1.2 lakh, Khasra No 92/5 Suvikas Co-op. Plot No 4, 21, 33, 27, 3 5 plots) outstanding amount is Rs 1,88,056; Khasra No. 58/,72 Surekha Gruha Nirman Sanstha Plot No 66+67, 81, 42, 236 4 plots) due amount is Rs 1.28 lakh; Khasra No 75 Rani Sati Mata Co-op Society plot number 8, 17, 11,1, 2, 46 amount due is Rs 1.39 lakh.
The arrears property owners should pay the overdue property tax of the above mentioned open plot within seven days otherwise the amount will be collected by auctioning the said plots. Other property owners in the Zone should pay the arrears property tax quickly and avoid confiscation proceedings, said the release issued by NMC.
