NMC slaps fine of Rs 1 lakh on Rainbow Medinova Hospital

Nagpur News : Health Department of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has imposed a fine of Rs One lakh on Rainbow Medinova Diagnostic Services Hospital, Ramdaspeth, for throwing Bio-Medical Waste in the dust-bin of NMC.

Also, the civic body has issued a show cause notice to the hospital for cancellation of registration under Rule 5 of Mumbai Nursing Home Act, 1949. NMC’s Health Officer Dr Ashok Urkude informed through a press release that it was the responsibility the rules by throwing waste in the Pollution Control Board also for of the hospital to dispose of Bio- dust-bin.
