Nagpur: In a bid to tackle the city’s cleanliness issues, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has taken strict disciplinary action against two sanitation supervisors for dereliction of duty. Municipal Commissioner Dr. Abhijit Chaudhary suspended Rajesh Jumle and Ritesh Usarbarse, who were responsible for overseeing sanitation in the Lakadganj and Ashi Nagar zones, respectively.
The suspensions follow surprise inspections conducted by NMC officials in response to numerous complaints about the city’s cleanliness. The inspections revealed negligence on the part of the two supervisors, leading to their suspension in accordance with the rules. This move is part of the NMC’s efforts to ensure accountability and improve sanitation services across the city.
