Nagpur: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), in association with the District Planning Committee Nagpur, held a bhoomipujan programme to commence the construction of Smart Public Toilet at Walker Street, Civil Lines, Nagpur. Dr Abhijeet Chaudhari, Municipal Commissioner, performed the bhoomipujan.
This free of charge Smart Public Toilet will have separate toilets for men and women, changing room for women, sanitary pad vending machine, destroy machine, hand dryer, and doors with sensor system. There will also be a wheelchair in the toilet for persons with disabilities. The NMC plans to construct 44 new Smart Public Toilets in the city.
Kamlesh Chavan, Executive Engineer; Pyare Khan, Chairman Tajbagh Trust; Prashant Ugemuge of Vidarbha Infotech; Dinesh Naidu, Rohit Jaiswal, Sarang Upganlawar, Farhan Qadri, Rahul Girde, Sanjay Chaurasia, Praveen Kande, Devendra Bhowate, Municipal Deputy Engineer, Sachin Chamate, Junior Engineer and others were present on the occasion.
