NMC urged to take urgent steps to save houses in Sangharsh Nagar

Nagpur: Houses in Sangharsh Nagar Slum are in danger due to the residual water that is being treated and released by the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at Bhandewadi. BJP State Vice President Adv. Dharmapal Meshram has demanded the Nagpur Municipal Corporation administration to take urgent steps to save the lives of residents and property.

On the complaints of the citizens, Adv. Dharmapal Meshram visited the said place and observed that the sewage treatment plant has been set up at Bhandewadi. In this project, the waste water is treated and the remaining water is released into a nullah flowing through the Sangharsh Nagar Slum. Due to continuous flow of water, the wall of the nullah has cracked.

Due to this, there is danger to the houses near the nullah. If immediate measures are not taken in this regard, the possibility of loss of lives and finances of local citizens cannot be ruled out, Adv. Meshram said and requested the NMC to take urgent steps.

On this occasion, local citizens Sunil Agre, Renuka Silvaru, Durga Kukvas, Vikas Shahu, Dhanraj Tandon, Indirabai Shende and others presented their grievances.
