Nagpur: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) will start a single window system from September 1 to accord all permission for the forthcoming Ganeshotsav.
Additional Municipal Commissioner Anchal Goyal on Monday held a meeting of civic body officials to finalise the plan. The civic body reviewed preparations for the environment-friendly Ganeshotsav in another meeting held at Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Memorial Standing Committee Hall.
Deputy Commissionerof Police, Special Branch, Shweta Khedekar, Deputy Commissioner, NMC, Suresh Bagle, Director, Solid Waste Management Department, Dr Gajendra Mahalle, Assistant Commissioners, NMC, Prakash Varade, Mahesh Dhamecha, Milind Meshram, Harish Raut, Ghanshyam Pandhare and Pushpagandha Bhagat; Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Vijay Chaudhary, Assistant Charity Commissioner, Santosh Kurve, Superintendent Shaktikumar Patil Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) R U Patil, along with Pramod Lone, Suresh Pathak, Chandan Prajapati and other dignitaries of traditional Sculptors Association were present.
While guiding the meeting, the Additional Municipal Commissioner said, the single-window arrangement for Ganesh Mandals will reduce hassle in obtaining various permissions for Ganeshotsav. Goyal directed the officers concerned that a committee be constituted comprising officials of Nagpur Municipal Corporation, Police Officers and Maharashtra Pollution Control Board officials for enforcing ban on PoP idols.
