BJP’s brand ambassador and prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi recently touched Wardha but did not make it to Nagpur. Since then, speculations were rife about his visit to Nagpur anytime soon as part of his voters outreach programme in the wake of general elections. However, Modi’s next outing to Vidarbha has been announced but this time too, he has been consciously missing Nagpur from his itinerary. Modi’s next visit to the region has been scheduled on March 30 when he would be addressing a public rally in Akola and Nanded. But, Nagpur is certainly not in the list. This has also been confirmed by BJP state unit president and local MLA Devendra Fadnavis, when Nagpur Today sought query in this regard.

In an SMS response to Nagpur Today by Fadnavis regarding query in this regard, he said that Modi has no plan to visit Nagpur during his visit now or any time in near future.

During his recent visit to Wardha, Modi also interacted with the activists there apart from addressing the rally. Large numbers of farmers and other BJP activists attended the rally from various areas of Yavatmal where Modi interacted with them over a cup of tea.
