Nagpur: The Shardiya Navratri festival has begun across the country. Against this backdrop, putting aside political differences, Congress State President Nana Patole and BJP State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule visited the Koradi Devi Temple together on Thursday to seek blessings on the occasion of Ghatasthapana.
The coming together of the BJP and Congress State Presidents, who are often seen exchanging accusations in the political arena, has raised eyebrows in political circles.
Addressing the situation, Congress State President Nana Patole stated, “We have not come here as political leaders, but as children of the Goddess.” He reiterated that their visit was not political but as devotees seeking the Goddess’s blessings for victory. Patole also remarked, “Bawankule and I are like brothers.”
Interestingly, there is a legend that the Goddess of Koradi originates from Nana Patole’s village. Patole mentioned that he prayed for prosperity and happiness to prevail in Maharashtra. BJP State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule echoed the sentiment, adding, “There is no political bitterness today.”
