Nagpur: Considering the possibility of an increase in the number of travellers during the summer season, Central Railway (CR) has extended the operation of Nagpur-Pune-Nagpur Superfast Summer Special to three days per week. Earlier, the special train was to run between the two cities of State for two days a week.
But after taking a look at the bookings on the Pune and Nagpur route, the railway officials decided to squeeze in another day of operation to ensure travellers get assured tickets. The railway release said, the extension of another day operation was done to cater to the increasing demand for convenient and efficient travel options during the summer season. The decision will be effective from April 18, 2024.
The Nagpur to Pune Superfast Summer Special (Train no. 01165) will now run on three days a week, departing every Thursday, until June 13, 2024 (total 9 Trips). Simultaneously, the Pune to Nagpur Superfast Summer Special (Train no. 01166) will operate on three days a week, departing every Friday, starting from April 19, 2024, until June 14, 2024 (total 9 trips).
Halts and Composition of the above special trains will remain the same. Reservation bookings for summer special trains 01165 and 01166 on special charges will open on April 13 at all computerised reservation centres and on website www.irctc.co.in, informs a railway release issued here.
