Now women in Khaki to serve 8-hour shifts in Nagpur

Nagpur: Acknowledging the significance of female cops in both professional and personal lives, Nagpur Police Commissioner (CP) Amitesh Kumar has ordered eight-hour shifts for women in Khaki.

Besides professional work female cops have to look after their household works. Thus in a bid to offer some relief to them, CP Kumar has issued an order on Saturday. The Top Cop has instructed officials to allot only eight-hour long shift to the respective female cops. Though, no changes have been made in night-shifts.

It is pertinent to mention that in case of any emergencies, the Station Officers can extend the duties of female police; however they first have to inform their respective Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), reads the order.
