An NRI lodged a complaint of theft at Sadar Police Station on Thursday. Police said that Pooja Manoj Gupta (52) who hails from Wookfield Road, Burd Ford, England was staying with Rajesh Shyamsunder Bharia at his residence at Vishwajyoti Society, new Colony, Sadar. On Thursday, at around 1.30 am some unidentified thieves entered the house since the door was not closed. Pooja’s hangbag was kept on the table. The thieves took out the gold chain worth Rs 75,000 and ran away.
In the morning when Pooja searched for her gold chain, he found it missing. Suspecting that it was stolen, she lodged a complaint with Sadar Police Station. Cops have registered an offence under Sections 380 of the IPC, informed PI Rajratan Bansod.
