NSS volunteers of GH Raisoni College display professional talent as they portray various forms of violence on women and how one should stop it. The students all attired in Black T-Shirts and jeans displayed a very professional acting skills.
They showed how husbands behave typically and beat and thrash their wives. How for minor issues they kick their wives and throw them out. They also depicted the entire Nirbhaya Case of New Delhi where a young couple was beaten up and the girl was raped and attempted to kill mercilessly. They displayed how the two were lying unattended to die.
After this they beautifully acted on how as youth, we should come forward and stop such crime and violence against women. The students who acted as Nirbhaya was Ankit Dongre and the boyfriend was Sneha Lichade.
The other actors are Arpit, Channawar, Prakash Ghosh, Shobhna Morwar, Pranoti Deshmukh, Bharti Patle, Sameeksha Gupta, Srilekha, Samudralwar, Sonal, Chapgadikar, Printy Ojha, Sejal Supariwale, Kunal Dhakate, Abhishek Majharkheda, Sneha Mahakalkar, Smita Mahalle, Sayali Gadkari, Palash Khanorkar, Dinesh Nandurkar, Mohit Pandey and, Prachi Raghuvanshi. Chetan Wagdarkar handled the lighting and other behind the screen commentary and works.
The other programme that were held at the campus included Traditional Attire and personality competition. The participants were all dressed in various Indian Attire. The girl who was wearing the traditional Maharashtrian attire won the first prize while the boy wearing Sherwani won the first prize in male. The contestants answered the questions too brilliantly. The singing competitions saw many innate singing talents among the students.
The Third Day of Antragni was a day dedicated to Intra-Collegiate cultural events. These events were harmony- Singing and Dance-footsteps. The winners of Singing Competition are as follows:
In the Individual Category-the first place was bagged by Aniruddha Barahate- who sang “Tum hi ho..”. The second prize was bagged by Aishwarya Aiyer-who sang the “Kamli.. number”. In the Duet Category, The first place was bagged by Romal Date and Saurabha Changde- Malhar vari and Gandhal (Marathi songs). The second place was bagged by Manasi Bhave and Sheikh Sayeed -“O mere Sona re and Janeman Janeman”. The Judge was Madhuri Khare.
In the Individual Category for the Lyrical Hip Hop competition, the first place was bagged by Vidit Das and the second place was bagged by Kalyani Deshmukh- semi classical kathak.
In the Group Dance: The first place was bagged by Free Fall Group – Bollywood style and the Second prize was bagged by Maharashtra Group. The Judge was Harshal Mundle and Priyanka Dongre.
