Nagpur News:An Emergent Joint meeting of the Executive Committee, President & Secretaries of Trade Associations of the Chamber was organized under the chairmanship of Dipen Agrawal, President of the Chamber- to-day the 7th April, 2013 in the meeting Hall of the Chamber.
Dipen Agrawal informed all the members that out of 24 Municipal Corporations and Municipalities, LBT has been imposed at 23 corporations. All the traders of Pune, Pimpari-Chinchwad and Nagpur were supporting indefinite strike against LBT. In between traders from Pune and Pimpari-Chinchwad called off their strike after discussion with state government. Dipen Agrawal asked opinion on this from the members and after consultation with everyone the indefinite strike against LBT has been called off.
Following members were present in the meeting Dipen Agrawal, President, Kailashchandra Agrawal, Prafullbhai Doshi, Radheshyam Sarda, Suresh Bhojwani, Madhusudan Agrawal, Past Presidents, Mayur Panchmatia and others.
Another trade guild, Nagpur Chamber of Commerce Limited (NCCL), has condemned the move by NVCC to end the strike. “A group of around 150 traders met at NCCL office and have decided to go ahead with the strike,” said Kailash Jogani from NCCL.
