NVCC Diwali Sneh Milan concludes with joyful gesture

Nagpur: The Diwali Sneh Milan programme of Nag Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce (NVCC), which was organised at the premises of NVCC, Civil Lines at 6.30 pm on November 21, concluded with joyful gesture and loving attitude exhibited by the members as well as invitees.

At the outset, NVCC chairman Prakash Mehadia, Secretary Jaiprakash Parekh, Treasurer Sachin Puniyani and senior members garlanded an image of Goddess Laxmi.

In his address, NVCC chairman Mehadia greeted all members as well as invitees, and wished them season’s happiness as well as prosperity. He further said, now all eyes are set at April 1, 2016 as GST has been passed by the Lok Sabha and awaiting the nod of Rajya Sabha. He informed members that the Central government had introduced 0.5 % service tax in the name of Swachchhata Abhiyan from November 15. He has thus requested the goverment to sincerely utilize this 0.5% service tax for making the nation clean, he added.

Prominently present on the occasion were Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, MP Krupal Tumane, Mayor Pravin Datke, MLAs Malliakrjun Reddy, Vikas Kumbhare, Sudhakar Kolhe, ex-Mayor and City Congress president Vikas Thakre, ex-Minister Anees Ahmed, senior BJP leader Jaiprakash Gupta, DRM Gupta, Addl CP Srikant Tarwade, ACP Bhagat, PI Santosh Khandekar, Agrasen Mandal president Urmila Ben and NVCC members as well as several invited guests, government officers and office-bearers of local organizations, all of whom were greeted with shawl-shriphal and goodwill gesture.

The artists of Swarmadhura regaled the participants of Diwali Sneh Milan with their melodious notes under the banner of Sangeet Sandhya.

While Jaiprakash Parekh conducted the proceedings, joint secretary Sanjay Agrawal proposed the vote of thanks.
