Nagpur: The Nag Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce (NVCC) is organising ‘Deepawali Sneh Sammelan’ on Wednesday, October 25. The programme, to be held at 6.30 pm, is being organised at NVCC premises on Temple Road, Civil Lines. Three eminent traders from Vidarbha will be honoured with “Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar” for their outstanding contribution of in the trading world as well as social service.
Those to be honoured include Balvirsingh Renu who is 80 years old and owns Pritam Hotel. He is also a reputed name in real estate profession. For his excellent services, Renu’s name was included in Limca Book of Records in the year 2010. Similarly, Shankarlal Jalan, a timber trader and builder, is also being felicitated. Jalan is well known for his lifetime mission as ‘Gau Rakshak’ being a full time Trustee of Ujwal Gorakshan Trust since past many years. The 75-year old Ratnlal Lahoti, who is in wholesale business of metal wares (bartan), is former Chairman of Gandhibagh Sahakari Bank. He is still extending his services to the bank as Director since past 27 years. He is also connected with a number of religious and social organisations.
Similarly, former Chairmen of NVCC Govindlal Agrawal, Dr R D Mehta, Kailashchandra Agrawal, Rameshkumar Mantri, Tarachand Ravaka, Govindlal Sarda, Prafulbhai Doshi, Shrigopal Soni, Rajanikant Gariba, Mathuraprasad Goyal, Murlidhar Surjan, Radheshyam Sarda, B C Bhartia, Suresh Bhojwani, Prakash Wadhvani, Hemant Khungar, Nilesh Suchak, Jagdish V Bang, Dipen Agrawal, Mayur Panchmatia and Prakash Mehadia and other eminent personalities of traders associations will be felicitated on the occasion.
