OCW-NMC’s 210 Taps, 12 Tankers, 4 Storage Tanks to provide ‘24×7’ water supply for 4-days at ‘Holy Deekshabhoomi’ premises

Nagpur: The Orange City Water (OCW) and Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) jointly have made adequate drinking water arrangements at the Holy Deekshabhoomi premises for thousands of devotees visiting and participating in Dhamma Chakra Pravartan Ceremony for 4-days from October 1 to 4.

OCW-NMC has made special arrangement by installing almost 210 Taps (105 standposts or temporary connections ) on four major roads that connects Deekshabhoomi premises like Rahate Colony square (Kriplani T Point) to Mata Kacheri square, Kachipura to Mata Kacheri square, Laxmi Nagar to Mata Kacheri square and Bajaj Nagar to Mata Kacheri square. Further, a special 24 hours connection has also been installed near Food Zone to provide devotees continuous supply of portable water.

Alongwith this special arrangement of 5000 liter capacity Storage Tanks with two Taps each has been also made at four (4) major junctions, especially for the devotees at Rahate Colony Square, Mate Square, Near VRCE Petrol Pump, and Subhash Nagar T Point.
OCW has also deployed ‘12 Water Tankers’ especially to provide water supply in Deekshabhoomi premises as well for continuous filling of storage tanks installed at various places.

A dedicated staff of OCW-NMC O& M Laxminagar Zone staff will be at Deekshbhoomi premises to provide round-the-clock services in these four days under the supervision of OCW Chief Executive Officer Mr Sanjoy Roy and Deputy Director (O&M) Mr Rajesh Kalra.
