Low pressure and limited water supply for next 3-4 days
Nagpur: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and Orange City Water (OCW) have jointly taken up a realignment of inlet pipe work at Tajbagh ESR on Thursday, Feb 5. The inlet pipeline at Tajbagh ESR was suddenly displaced from its original positions resulting in heavy leakages at ESR premises. The emergency repair work has been started on war footing and will take almost 24-hours more to complete.
Due to these works, the areas receiving water supply from Tajbagh ESR may receive low pressure and limited water supply for next 3-4 days.
The areas to remain affected are as follows:
Chitnis Nagar, Azad Colony, Adarsh Nagar, Shivangi Society, Tajbagh slum, Sindhiban, Sai nagar, Auliya nagar, Dighori old Basti, Shivsundar Nagar, Radheshwar Nagar, Yogeshwar Nagar, Harpur Nagar, Pawansut Nagar, Dhanvantri Nagar, Shivsundar Nagar, Beldar Nagar, Telephone Nagar, Sarvshree Nagar, Vaibhav Nagar, Smuti Nagar, Kirti Nagar, Pragati Colony, Gausiya Colony, Rahul Nagar, Gajanan Nagar, Saint Tukdoji Nagar, Ramkrushna Nagar, Yasin plot, Nirala society, Mahananda nagar.
On Thursday, MLA from South Nagpur and NMC Water Supply Committee Chairman Mr. Sudhakar Kohle, OCW CEO Mr. Sanjoy Roy, Deputy Director (O&M) Mr Rajesh Kalra jointly visited the site and inspected the works being carried out. Mr Sudhakar Kohle and Sanjoy Roy have appealed residents of these areas to co-operate with NMC-OCW during the said works.
