On the evening of national science day ‘Science March’ and SIR C.V. Raman Memorial lecture ‘ at raman science centre

As a part of National Science Day Celebrations, a Science March was organized by Raman Science Centre from 8.30 AM to 10.00 AM. on 28th February 2019. 750 students from 15 schools viz. St. Ursula Girls, Sidhheshwar Vidyalaya, CDS, Rajendra High School, Modern School, Hemant Jakate School, New Apostololic English high School, Dadibai Deshmukh Hindu Mulinchi Shala, Tata parsi Girls, Maharashtra Adhyan mandir, Keshavnagar High School, Shriniketan Vidyalaya participated and gave the message of Science to the society by holding placards and slogans.

The march started from Raman Science Centre Nagpur proceeded through Aagyaram Devi square, S. T. Stand square, Model mill square, Fawara Chauk, Shivaji statue square Mahal, Tilak statue, Subhash road, Aagyaram Devi square and back to Raman Science Centre.

Sir C. V. Raman Memorial Lecture was organized at Raman Science Center on this occasion. Dr. Prashant Agrawal, Founder and Director, GreenVention Biotech, Pune interacted with the students on the topic “Innovation through Innovative Thinking: Journey through the Eyes of Biomedical Technology”.

He gave away examples of various innovations in biomedical science such as Bandage, Plaster, Stethoscope, eye lenses, Hearing aids, ipill camera etc. Students overwhelmed by the the information given by him. After the lecture he also satisfied the student’s queries about the innovations in various other fields.
