One arrested for forcing three minor girls into flesh trade

Nagpur: In another deplorable act that has come to fore, a lady was arrested for forcing three minor girls of the age group of 16-17 into flesh trade on September 9, 2016.

According to police reports, in an action initiated by the Lakhadganj Police Station in the ill famous red-light area on September 9, 2016 between 3:15 to 6 pm, a lady accused identified as Dhanwanti Rambabu Palkhor aged 40 years and a resident of Radhaswami Satsang Bhavan in Ganga Jamuna was arrested for forcing three minor girls of the age group of 16-17 into flesh trade without their will, with an ulterior motive of earning money through flesh trade. The accused had also kept the three girls locked-up in a life-threatening place. These minor girls were said to be physically and mentally exploited.

On the basis of the complaint lodged by the rescued minor girls, Police Sub Inspector S V Gawai of Lakhadganj Police Station has registered a case under Sections 344, 366(A), 372, 373, 336, 370 (A) of Indian Penal Code and Under Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 9 of Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act.
