Pachpaoli police arrest bike-lifter, seize four stolen vehicles

Nagpur: Pachpaoli Police have apprehended a bike thief and recovered four stolen vehicles from his possession. The accused, Abdul Sattar, a 44-year-old resident of Wanjara Lay-Out, Yashodhara Nagar, was arrested for his involvement in the theft of a Honda Activa (MH-49/K4369) belonging to Nagaraj, a resident of Galaxy Apartment in Pachpaoli.

The theft occurred on the evening of February 17, when the Activa was reported stolen from the apartment’s parking lot. Following a complaint filed by the victim’s wife with Pachpaoli Police, an investigation ensued, leading to the detention of Abdul Sattar based on credible information.

During interrogation, Sattar confessed not only to the Activa theft but also admitted to three other vehicle thefts within the jurisdiction of Pachpaoli Police Station and one from Tehsil Police Station. The recovered stolen vehicles include three Honda Activa and a Hero Pleasure, with a combined value of Rs 4,50,100.

Abdul Sattar is currently in custody, and further investigations are ongoing. The arrest was carried out by Sr PI Baburao Raut and his team, including Pawan Bhatkar, Prakash Rajpalliwar, Nitin Verma, Shahnawaz Mirza, Om Prakash Burde, Pawan Singh Thakur, and others.
