The multi-tasking expert will soon be receiving another laurel! American singer, songwriter, rapper, record producer, and fashion designer, Pharrell Williams became a sensation last year with his catchy song ‘Happy’ that caught the fancy of everyone in spite of being slightly musically inclined across the world. It seems that the ripple effect of his success has carried forward this year, as he has been declared the winner of the prestigious CFDA’s 2015 Fashion Icon Award.
Pharrell will be honoured with the award on June 1 at the Lincoln Center, Manhattan. The fashionably-inclined will recall that Rihanna won the same award last year, where she opted for a completely sheer and highly risque dress, gloves and headscarf by Adam Selman.

As for Pharrell, the music magnate has created a cult following of his ubiquitous hat that has even got its own twitter account under the handle @Pharrellhat that goes with the description, ‘chillin on @Pharrell’s head #pharrellhat’.
It’ll be worth checking what he sports at the upcoming event, taking into account the bar set by musical heartthrob RiRi.
He’s also known for his sprawling shoe collection as well as the special Swarovski studded Adidas sneakers he customised and sported at the ‘Saturday Night Live’ performance last year. He has also created a number of collaborative collections with fashion brands.
